Could this possibly be related to the automatic backup? I know it's been giving us some issues lately. I myself have gotten disconnected multiple times because of it.

At first I thought it was because of the spawning, but now that I am looking back I doubt it. If that were the case, things would have been really laggy for a bit before crashing at peak lag. The server crashed in a sudden way, so it probably was a technical problem.

Also, if it was because of saves, lag etc, it would have come back online. If it is down for a while, then it is something else. Well, on the bright side, whenever the server goes down for a while and comes back up, all the animals respawn, so if you want horses but all of the biomes that spawned them have been cleared, now is your chance! BTW, can you teleport with a horse?

Also if it was due to the backup, everyone would have seen in the chat that the backup had started, so apparently that isn't it.
At least it doesn't seem to be a problem with anything above the bukkit server software, like the OS crashing or anything, as Legit Anarchy is still up, which, as far as I understand, runs on the same dedicated server.
