Bug/Glitch?

I know there are cave ins, but should the land cave in if I place a block?

I placed a wood block on a dirt square on the surface, and everything caved in.

Yes this is normal, it was likely hollow underneath.

i was just playing then i died then crashed (someties this happens so i relogged to find spanw had a giant tnt explosion i died again from ann explosion respawned and there was no trace of spawn until tooday when i logged back on????              

Just curious... Why were these two posts downvoted? I mean, They're legit questions. I'd be pretty confused if a dirt floor collapsed on me! thats what part of the physics of the anarchy server are, its pretty funny.

I also would be pretty confused if I exploded twice.

BRETT AND LEMUR EXPLODED SPAWN!!! lol I haveno idea why spawn would blow up......

Well brett and lemur blew up my house and it was protected. But maybe it is a different protection.

no its the same protection. they've been going around blowing up people's houses regardless of the sponges, he just said so on server.
Can somebody fix this? I don't really want my house to be blown up because brett put tnt out of my protection area....

I need them to show me how the bug works. Let me look into it

Well they were able to blast my house down then able to open my chests with all of my good stuff in them. I was not happy. So if it is a glitch then i hope it can be fixed because that kind of makes the protection stone useless.

Fixed.  This is beta.  So this is the kind of stuff I'm looking for.

Thanks a ton! I appreciate the help, and now I can be more flexible with my building materials again.

If I may suggest something. If you can make a place underground in anyway you should try and build it out of obsidian if that doesn't have gravity affecting it. If it doesn't have the gravity affecting it it would be better so that you can't get griefed as easily if you have no sponge giving you time to get the people who are trying to kill you. i apologize if this makes no sense to anyone.

Thought I would share other things I found, which may or may not count as bugs or glitches: mobs sometimes seem to fall through blocks to where you are standing in caves, animals do not stay in fenced areas well, silverfish sometimes are spawned from an arrow into the ground blocks...that is all I can remember as of now.

Silverfish have always been buggy with spawning, on this and vanilla.
