Build a survival game world for us ;)

Since LegitLand won't be up for about another week (that's if everything keeps going the way it is), you must be bored!

Why not build us a survival game world!!!!

What does that entail, you ask? Good question!

-Create an area with a boundary so that players cannot leave the Survival Games arena.
-Place EMPTY chests everywhere! Chests will be automatically filled with loot by the plugin.
-Set up an area where 16 players start. Please have a DISTINCT location where each of the 16 players spawn in!
-I love hidden things.
-I also love redstone contraptions.
-Avoid using dispensers, hoppers, droppers, etc. These will NOT be refilled by the plugin. So please don't put any items in them. You CAN use them for decoration! Just don't fill them with things haha!
-Have fun guys!

is it ok if i just have 4 signs saying "corner" for the boundry. and you put the physical barrier in with worldedit. I do not know how to use/get worldedit

Is there a boundary radius you'd like us to keep within?

I love HG and making maps for it! I'll make one as soon as possible!   Some questions I have:

Is there a specific theme or can we go ham? You know, can we do any style e.g. Medieval, modern, Egyptian e.t.c.

Is there a deadline?

For a "DISTINCT location", do we have to put signs saying "Podium" or just has to be obvious from where it is, like around the cornucopia?

And finally do we have to put a boundary in or can you make the dome with the plugin, because a border would take ages and would be very boring.    Unless I use MCEdit, which I suck at, and wouldn't really know what to do.

I'd prefer if you guys made the boundaries. I don't want to have to go into world guard and place them.

No specific theme.

Deadlines: asap.

Just make it obvious that there are 16 spawn spots.

The best I will be able to do is a crappy bedrock rim.

Can we make it with amplified world gen?

As long as the small area doesn't become too intense for other users to play it Villen.

Okay I will make it a small map.

So during the boredom of waiting for classes and no work i knocked out a smallish map, I'm more or less done unless inspiration strikes me for some reason as to add something else :3

I got bored so i added 2 new traps which if any of you play tekkit/hexxit etc will notice they resemble the rooms from dimensional doors :3

Question! when a new game is started will the map reload or just continue for when it left off? I don't want to wreck my map with TNT traps

Simbelia usually maps reload, chests are refilled but I'm not sure on tnt, most of the tnt damage to terrain is turned off to protect the map.

Simsnet this is a post about survival games, a mini game, not the whole of LegitLand, it is a game where 12-24 (in this case 16) people start in the center of a map surrounding a large pile of chests that are filled randomly by a plugin. The whole map is either in a dome or a cube so no one can go outside, you can normally craft but not mine.

When the game starts everyone tries to get the best gear in a last man standing pvp battle.

Also though out the map are more chests, and some traps.

On a side note, at least from my end, please stop filling every post advertising your server (if admins are ok with that i will edit this line out), I am sure most don't want to get started on a server for a week just to come back to LegitLand but if your intention is to actually take people away from LL then that is just wrong.

I had a blonde moment on my newest upload of my V2 map (in my post above, I edited it).
For some reason it starts me in some random location, idk if anyone else who views it would have that happen but just a heads up. Cheats are enabled so /tp 10 55 10 will take you to the center of the built area x.x

Okay will the map always take place during the day? Or should i provide lighting so players can see during the night?

Alright how do you geezers make a map downloadable?

Like so ppl can download it and try it o.o?
use dropbox,media fire,etc..
go to your .minecraft>saves, make your save world into a zip file and upload to one of the above.
Then theres a share opinion on those to share the link to the file.
If thats not what you mean let me know xD

dylancircle, I would like to use my own website to download it from. Would it still work? And also, how do I turn it into a zip file?

Make a zip file:
Windows: Right click your save folder > Halfway down there's a "Send to" option, Highlight that > click the "Compressed (zipped) folder"

Mac: [ If its still how i remember xD im a tad rusty] Just a simple right click and there should be a option for "compress" or "compress (zip)"

As for the websites id say for free hosting sites look in their forums or info sections
if you host your own site then google xD

I say that but it looks like you used natural terrain where as I didnt

I started working on a map as soon as I heard the call of my people.
The map is done, I just can't send the link because I just recently joined.

Maybe I should attempt to make a survival game world... How big is a good size for a map to start off with? I've never made a world before.
